We said goodbye to friends and family before entering customs. There were a few tears, although I won't mention any names (Kirsten). Although travelling in big group moves slowly, customs and security was uneventful and now we wait for boarding. It is hard to believe is only 6am. It feels like we have been travelling for hours already - because we have. And we are still in Edmonton. But now the excitement is growing as we are not quite so sleepy.
Bon Voyage. This morning I woke in the middle of the night and was meditating through Psalm 23. I looked up the NIV Study Bible Notes for the Psalm on my PDA and verse 4 is right at the center of the Psalm. In this verse, instead of talking about God as "he" (as in the 1st 3 verses) God is addressed as "you" - "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will not fear for YOU are with me." God is with you, may you trust him (that's what Psalm 23 is all about) and be attentive to his voice!
